The aim of the group is to investigate the geology of the area, with particular interest in the unique geology of Ynys Mon and Northern Eryri.
The rocks and scenery of Ynys Mon and Northern Eryri reveal around 750 million years of Earth history during which the region was blasted by huge volcanic eruptions and covered by shallow tropical seas and thick ice sheets. If you would like to learn more about this wonderful part of the world then join this group. The half and full day sessions will cater for those with no knowledge of geology and provide a refresher for members with some knowledge of the subject. Many of the meetings will be walks along coastal and hillside paths, and sandy and rocky beaches. Some half day sessions in the winter will be indoors.
