Subject The Lighthouses of North Wales

Warren looks at the development of the 13 lighthouses around the coast of North Wales, how they have been operated and who has been involved in their story, including the human story, technological development, the evolution of different types of structure, lamps and lenses, fog signals, and the automated future in a world with GPS.
Dr Warren Kovach is the author of the popular Anglesey-History.co.uk website, which highlights aspects of the island’s history, and has also written several books about the history of Anglesey. Born and raised in Ohio, USA, he moved to Anglesey in the early 1990s and soon set about exploring its history and landscape. He has a PhD as a researcher in biology, ecology and palaeontology, and was a tour guide at South Stack Lighthouse on Ynys Lawd, Anglesey
